We are looking for new Advisory Board members who have a passion for supporting adults living with mental illness and improving the quality of life for all Johnson County citizens.
Compeer Advisory Board members:
- Meet once a month on the 4th Friday of the month
- May contribute between 1-3 hours a month outside of Board meetings for follow-up tasks and projects as needed
- Serve for a 1-year, 2-year or 3-year term
We are especially interested in board members with experience in (non-profit) management and an interest in helping us develop and build the organizational structures and processes that will sustain the program for the next 20 years.
Specifically, we are seeking folks with skills or experience in any of the areas listed below:
- Accounting and bookkeeping practices and tools;
- Database management that would help in streamlining our donor tracking and fundraising outreach processes;
- Grant writing that would identify new funding sources for program growth;
- Fundraising that helps us “step-up our game” when it comes to identifying and soliciting donors, thus maximizing the impact of our fundraising efforts;
- Volunteer outreach and recruitment that would improve our efforts;
- Social media that would help us develop an engaging presence on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms;
- Technology solutions that support remote access, document sharing, managing and sending large email solicitations, privacy protection, managing/updating multiple contact lists, etc.
