Who We Are

The mission of North Liberty Community Pantry is to engage our community in feeding and clothing our neighbors. Our dual purpose is to provide a warm and welcoming place for those who need help and to provide an opportunity for community members to get to know and serve their neighbors.

What We Do

NLCP is an outreach ministry of the North Liberty First United Methodist Church, but the service area and support are community-wide. Our primary service area is North Liberty and small towns in Johnson County. We provide thoughtful and caring help to the families we serve and have consistently drawn praise from those families as well as from groups and individuals who assist us. We have one full-time Director, a full-time Garden and Special Projects Coordinator, and a full-time Volunteer and Services Coordinator. All other staff are volunteers, who bring a variety of talents to the management and operation of the pantry. We have also engaged the community through a number of activities, including our Growing Together Garden, food drives, special events, education, and fundraising activities.
