For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, BBBS makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people and adults both.
Male role models are strongly needed. The wait time for a boy to meet his Big Brother is four times that of a girl to meet a Big Sister. Please invite your guy friends have fun and make a Big impact as a volunteer mentor!
Spouses, partners, or friends can volunteer together to mentor a child through our Big Couple program. What a great way to include volunteering in the time you spend together!
