We’re excited to welcome 5,000 seventh and eighth-grade students to the 19th annual Financial Literacy Fair this March, April, and May. Workplace Learning Connection is once again partnering with 44 middle schools to deliver this interactive, hands-on budgeting experience. In the classroom, students explore career paths, learn budgeting basics, and build financial well-being skills. Based on their interests, they choose a career, calculate their monthly income, and create a virtual budget. The Fair brings these financial concepts to life and gives students meaningful, real-world budgeting practice based on the choices they make.
You’re invited to spend about three hours chatting with students ages 12–14 as they navigate real-life financial choices. We’ll walk you through everything with a short training, and no prior experience is required!
This event takes place 15 times in 5 different counties. Click the following link to see times and dates: https://www.kirkwood.edu/financialliteracyfair
