We provide daily activities that stimulate residents mind, body, and soul. We are committed to helping our residents continue to lead a positive and rewarding life by helping them maintain their independence for as long as possible. Some of our residents live with dementia; your support can help them cope with the disorientation they are feeling. A key part of this role will be to provide reassurance and company to residents. We encourage you to share your unique talents and stories with residents.

The Health Center is a busy environment, it is essential that volunteers are independent and proactive. While you need to listen to staff, you also need to seek out the one-to-one experiences.

Engage with resident's in a one to one setting, enhancing their health and well-being, by becoming a walking partner. Walking partners have flexible hours and can play a huge role in boosting our resident's mood and life satisfaction.

Each Friday in Assisted Living, we host a happy hour as a way for the residents to get together and socialize and enjoy each others company. As a happy hour helper, you can help invite residents to the activity, walk down with them, and help serve refreshments, while engaging in one on one and group interactions.

As a friendly visitor, you will engage in one on one interactions with residents who may need additional support or would benefit from conversation. This may be conversational, activities, etc!

To assist recreation staff in transporting residents to and from enriching programs that stimulates residents’ senses. Programs range from speakers, to musicians, to themed dinners, and comedians.
