Volunteer: Provide Direct Food Assistance to Families in Need

Many families and individuals in our community struggle daily to secure enough food to eat. The Coralville Community Food Pantry (CCFP) works to address this issue by offering weekly food assistance to anyone in Coralville who needs it. Volunteers guiding members through the pantry, checking members in. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for two pantry shifts a month, but no minimum or maximum is required.

Volunteer: Mark Twain-Lucas Food Pantry at Faith UCC Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to assist in serving an increasing number of families.Volunteers welcome and assist guests, help carry groceries for shoppers, and restock shelves with available items.                                         **Interpreters are also needed2nd and 4th Wednesday each month from 2:00pm-6:00pm2nd and 4th Tuesday each month to help unload the truck  late morning

Teams from different community groups organize most of our meals, and there are also slots for ad hoc volunteers from 10:30-1:30 or 11:30-1:30. Open Day (ad hoc) volunteers prepare, serve, and clean up after the meal when no pre-formed volunteer team is designated. Extra help with serving and cleaning is needed both on Open Days and on some days with pre-formed volunteer teams. 

New folks: Make sure you navigate to 1105 Gilbert COURT, (not Gilbert STREET). Park behind the building on the west side; you'll find the volunteer entrance there. Call Free Lunch Program at 319-337-6283 if you have any issues. When you arrive, we will have you review and sign our Orientation and Waiver document, which you can preview here.
