What We Do
Community Corrections Improvement Association (CCIA) is a 501(c)(3) private foundation established in 1991 to build solutions for safer communities in the state of Iowa. CCIA is the community-based service foundation, and part of the Sixth District Dept. of Correctional Services, serving both Johnson and Linn Co. Community-based programs include: Youth Leadership Program,Weed and Seed,Partnership for Safe Families,Foster Grandparent Program,?Home to Stay?,Faith Based Initiative,Volunteer Income Tax Assistance,Volunteers in Service to America,Children of Promise Mentoring Program,Peer Review Court,Reality Alcohol Prevention Program,Circles of Support and Accountability,Victim Services,Project Safe Neighborhoods,and Batterer?s Education Program. Currently recruiting One on One Mentoring volunteers to work with eligible probation clients on things such as G.E.D. completion, job skills and attainment, and providing a positive role model.
